EXPEDITION to the ANDES & AMAZON
This is a Biodiversity project inspired by the Rio Convention
Committed efforts to inventory the World’s major biota have never been more needed than now.

Entomological Expedition to the Andes and Amazon Basin 2007/2008
Field-Work in Ecuador
An international research team will search for new species. The goal of the expedition is to conduct biodiversity studies in the Andes and Amazon Basin (Ecuador, January–April, 2007/2008) mainly focusing on biology and species inventory of the poorly-studied nepticuloids (Nepticuloidea) – the world’s smallest moths – and related insects.
